6 cups apples, peeled and
sliced, (granny smith or McIntosh) 1 cup Graham cracker crumbs 3/4 cup dark
brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 cup orange juice
Topping: 1/2 cup Graham cracker crumbs 1/4 cup dark brown sugar 1
teaspoon cinnamon 4 teaspoon melted butter 1 teaspoon vanilla
extract
Preheat oven to
350 degrees. In a mixing bowl, combine baking apples, Graham cracker crumbs,
dark brown sugar, cinnamon, and orange juice. Arrange as a mount in a
buttered baking dish. Topping: Combine Graham cracker crumbs, bread crumbs,
dark brown sugar, melted butter, and vanilla. Spread over apples. Bake
40 to 50 minutes. Test center for doneness. Serve with whipped cream or ice
cream.
