For butter crunch:
1/2 cup butter, melted 2 teaspoons brown sugar 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped walnuts For apple mixture: 6 apples 1 cup brown
sugar 1 tablespoon flour 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 cup melted
butter
Preheat oven to
400 degrees. Butter crunch: Combine ingredients of the butter crunch in
a mixing bowl. Spread one half over bottom of 8 by 8- inch baking pan.
Bake until light brown, about 15 minutes. Apple mixture: Peel, core
and slice apples. In a large mixing bowl, combine apples, brown sugar,
flour, cinnamon and melted butter. Spoon apple mixture over butter crunch
. Bake at 350 degrees until apples are cooked and tender. Sprinkle
remaining crunch on top. Bake to brown topping, about 10 minutes. Serve at
room temperature. Home |
