STRAWBERRY AND PEACH
COMPOTE
Serves

1 cup red wine,
(beaujolais, pinot noir, or merlot) 1 tablespoon sugar 1/4 teaspoon
almond extract 1 1/4 pounds white or yellow peaches 1 pint strawberries,
cleaned and sliced
In a small
bowl, combine wine, sugar, and almond extract. Peel, half and slice peaches.
Layer strawberries and peaches in dessert glasses. Pour the red wine syrup
over and serve. Can be prepared up to 4 hours ahead. Home |
