BANANA BREAD
Use a 9-inch by 5-inch
by 3-inch loaf pan or 4 mini loaf pans
1/2 cup butter or shortening
1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 1/2 cups flour, all purpose 1 teaspoon
baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 cup banana, mashed 1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped 1 cup sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter, sugar, and eggs. Sift the
dry ingredients, and combine with the butter mixture. Blend well. Add the
bananas, sour cream, and vanilla; stir well. Blend in the nuts and pour
into a well buttered 9-inch by 5-inch by 3-inch loaf pan or 4 mini loaf pans.
Bake 1 hour for large loaf, 30 minutes for mini loaves. Turn out onto a
rack to cool.
