AMAZIN'RAISIN CAKE

3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup milk
2 eggs
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cloves
3 cups apples, chopped
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, combine the first ten ingredients to obtain a thick batter.
Fold in apples, raisins, and nuts. Spoon batter into 2 9 inch greased and floured baking pans.
Bake about 45 minutes until springy to touch. Cool in pans for 10 minutes.
Unmold on rack. Frost with 2 cups of whipped cream if desired.
