8
slices white bread, trimmed of crust 8 slices Swiss cheese 1/2 pound
sliced cooked chicken 4 tablespoons butter 1 cup
Mornay
sauce
Top each bread slice with a slice of cheese. Cover cheese
with an equal portion of chicken. Top with a second slice of cheese and
bread. Brush the top and bottom of bread with 3 tablespoons of butter. Heat
remaining butter in a large skillet. Add sandwiches to skillet. Brown
sandwiches on both sides. Transfer to individual warmed plates. Serve with
sauce on side if desired.
