COD
Also called Atlantic cod or codfish is a member of a large family of marine fiSh, and was considered one of the most abundant fish in North America.
Over fishing has created a decline in cod fisherey, once considered the "beef of the sea".
Cod are differentiated from haddock by its pale lateral line, and from pollock by the large barbel and the projected upper jaw.
